21 Days of

Prayer & Fasting

prayer is THE WORK.

When we fast & pray, things change in our hearts & in our world.

This season of 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting is designed to help us prioritize our relationship with God and focus on what matters most.

Whether prayer feels natural to you or you’re not sure where to start, the power of prayer doesn’t depend on how we present it. It’s not the strength of our faithβ€”it’s the object of our faith that changes everything.

PRAYER REQUEST

Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Matthew 6:16-18

Why Pray?

Prayer is the way we communicate and commune with God. It’s the intentional practice of setting aside time to be with Himβ€”learning to become more like Him and to partner with Him in the world.

Prayer appears more than 500 times in Scripture, and throughout His life, Jesus modeled a life rooted in prayer. If prayer was the foundation of His life on Earth, how much more essential is it for ours?

WHY FAST?

Fasting is going without food for a set amount of time to awaken our body and soul to our deep hunger and need for God. Fasting is one of the most essential and powerful practices of Jesus, allowing us to integrate our entire person, including our body, around God.

The ultimate aim of fasting is to get in touch with our hunger for God. Hunger is the state of wanting or needing something you do not have. When we fast, we awaken our body and soul to its deep yearning for life with the Father.
